Try a simple exercize in happiness!

In the last number of Brainworld you can learn a simple exercize in happiness.
Sit down on the floor wirh your back straight. Shake your head from on side to the other. Tap with your fists on the lower part of your abdomen for 3-5 minutes. You will probalby feel warmth in your abdomen and you will produce saliva in your mouth. This is a state of happiness that serotonin (the transmittor substance that contributes to your experience of content and happiness) produces in your body. In Brainworld serotonin is called the happiness hormone. The exercize you are about to try is called “Brain wave Vibration”.
Be aware of that you are the owner of your feelings. Look at them as waves in a ocean. Even if the ocean sometimes is stormy, sonner or later it gets calm. Train on accpeting that your feelings will not always be in the same way but you can train yourself on handling them so that you can get a better chance of influencing them in a way that is good for you in the long run.

Exercises in happiness

Positive psycholgy and exercises in happiness is at the moment what interests me the most in the field of psychology so here comes more suggestions in what you can do to train yourself in happiness

– Train yourself in being niceness by doing more nice behaviors. The goal (except for that other people will benefit from it) is that it gives you better odds of feeling better about youself. Try to do one nice behavoir or a couple of nice behaviors once a week. Make sure you do not do them every day since the psychewill get borde and then effect will disappear.

Doing nice behaviors will lead to that you can take a time off from your own problems so that your psyche can rest and also there is achance that you can appreciate your own life situation more, for example that you are healthy, you have a good job etc.

– Do behaviors that include flow. Flow means that you are so interested in what you do so that it makes you forget that time passes. Try new things and be observant if any of those activities include flow. When you find your own flow behaviors, do them often. They will give you energy and and a feeling that you are more in control of your life. For some people those behaviors can be hiking or taking a walk in the park, while for others it can be talking to a person who makes you feel good.
