Luck factor 2
People with good luck make good decisions by using their intuition and their feeling.
In his research Wiseman found that another factor that people with good luck use is that they listen more to their inner voicé and use it to guide them. They also work on improving their intuition by for example meditating.
Luck factor 3
People with good luck expect their future to be good and their good luck to last.
Here I think it´s important to think about your behavior. Even if you don´t believe that your luck will last or if you have use the thinking error magical thinking (it´s a matter of time before bad luck something stabs me in the back as a punishment since I have this luck now), it is important that you behave as if you believed that you luck will last. Ask yourself what you would do next if you strongly believed that only good things would happen to you.
Luck factor 4
People with good luck can change their bad luck into good luck.
They do this by trying to see something positive in their bad luck, they are convinced there will come something good with it, they don´t ruminate over their bad luck and they think about what they could do different next time so that they don´t have the same bad luck again.
What these people actually do unconsciously is that they focus all their energy and behavior on how to help themselves to overcome the bad thing that happened to them and how to avoid getting the same problem again. This is of course something that you can do too. The only difference is that you will do it consciously with the goal to experience more good luck in your life.
Theories about bad luck
It is common that we wonder why someone we know always seem to have good luck while we consider ourselves to have bad luck.
If you have this problem and think about it often you will probably experience a feeling of helplessness. Since our psyche does not to feel helpless you will probably feel more and more sad and frustrated about it and here you have a vicious circle.
The good news is that you can take control over your “bad luck” since research has shown that we can influende our life to be either more “lucky or unlucky”.
In his book “the luck factor” (It is a great book), Richard Wiseman writes that his research has identified four that are unconsciously used by people who consider themselves to be lucky.
Here is the first factor:
1. “Lucky” people create opportunities in life, they notice when they appear and they use them.
In other words, your behavior is very important! So make sure you expose yourself to behaviors where you meet people. It´s also good to find behaviors that you know when you look historically has been good for you in the long run. If you don´t know what you like try different things that you think may interest you and evalutae the feeling afterwards. This will give you a good circle. You do things that are good for you- you feel better- you get more ideas about good things-you feel better etc. In other words, you automatically get better at noticing new opportunities which is another thing that “lucky” people are good at. Seeing that your strategies work will probably make you want to use your strategies even more (which lucky people do unconsciously).
Another thing you should think about is that “lucky” people are more flexible. When you try to control things too much I think that you give your psyche signals that it is something very important that is happening which makes you more alert, gives you more anxiety and distracts you from seeing opportunities. If you try to see more than one alternative to things you won´t react so much emotionally which will give you enewrgy and concentration on seeing things that can be good for you in the long run.
Richard Wiseman suggests some things you can do to get more lucky:
– In the next month, try to start talking to four people that you know little or not at all. Ask for directions, ask about their opinion when you choose and ice cream etc.
